Hi, I’m Kat. EMDR Certified Therapist, artist, and fellow human doing the work too.

I’m a trauma-focused therapist and EMDR provider based in Plymouth, MA. I support high-functioning, overwhelmed adults on the South Shore and across Massachusetts who are ready to move out of survival mode and into a steadier, more self-trusting life.

I help adults heal from the quiet ways trauma can linger — in the body, in relationships, and in a person’s sense of self.

For many of my clients, the pain started long ago. Maybe it was a hard or chaotic childhood, a relationship that slowly chipped away at their self-worth, or a major life transition that knocked the ground out from under them. By the time they land in my virtual or in-person office, they are often exhausted from holding it all together, stuck in old patterns, and deeply ready for something to finally shift.

I bring over a decade of experience supporting adults through complex trauma, abuse recovery, anxiety, grief, and major life transitions. Before opening my private practice in 2018, I worked in child welfare and community mental health. That work showed me both how deeply resilient people are and how much support they truly deserve.

My approach is grounded in both science and humanity. I use evidence-based methods like EMDR, while also bringing warmth, curiosity, and real-world honesty into the room. Therapy with me is collaborative, practical, and deeply human. We move at your nervous system’s pace, not just the clock.

Outside the therapy room, I am also an artist.

I grew up in a creative home in a small seaside town in Massachusetts, collecting rocks and crystals and spending afternoons in painting classes. I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts from Boston University in 2010 and my Master of Social Work from Hawai‘i Pacific University in 2013. Along the way, I have lived in places that shaped me deeply, including the beaches of O‘ahu, the mountains of Colorado, the witchy streets of Salem, and now the coastal woods of Plymouth.

Those landscapes still influence how I think about healing: grounded, layered, imperfect, and deeply connected to place.

I am also a mother, which has shaped my practice in quiet but meaningful ways. It has deepened my compassion, softened my perfectionism, and strengthened my respect for the messy realities of being human.

I am a silversmith and the one-woman maker behind Magnolia Beau Silver, my small handcrafted jewelry line. In the quieter corners of my week, I make sterling silver jewelry from my home studio. The creative process is slow, intentional, and welcoming of imperfection — which feels a lot like healing to me.

These days, my life is a blend of tending to my practice, making jewelry when inspiration hits, and being present for the life I have built.

All of these parts of me shape how I show up as a therapist: grounded, creative, honest, and deeply committed to helping you feel more at home in your own body and your own life.

I really mean this:

You do not have to keep holding this alone.

Reaching out can feel like a lot, especially when you are used to being the one who handles everything. But taking this step matters.

Healing is possible, and you deserve support that feels steady, honest, and actually built for the life you are living now.
