Hi, I’m Kat. A trauma therapist, mother, artist, and fellow human doing the work, too.
Hi, I’m Kat. Trauma therapist, artist, and fellow human doing the work too.
I’m a trauma focused therapist and EMDR provider based in Plymouth, MA. I support high functioning, overwhelmed adults on the South Shore and across Massachusetts who are ready to move out of survival mode and into a steadier, more self trusting life.
I help adults heal from trauma and abuse in the quiet ways it lingers in the body, in relationships, and in a person’s sense of self. For many of my clients, the pain started long ago. Maybe it was a hard or chaotic childhood, a relationship that slowly chipped away at their self worth, or a major life transition that knocked the ground out from under them. By the time they land in my virtual or in person office, they are often exhausted from holding it all together, stuck in old patterns, and deeply ready for something to finally shift.
I bring over a decade of experience supporting adults through complex trauma, abuse recovery, anxiety, grief, and major life transitions. Before opening my private practice in 2018, I worked in child welfare and community mental health. That work showed me both how deeply resilient people are and how much support they truly deserve. My approach is grounded in both science and humanity. I use evidence based methods like EMDR, while also bringing warmth, curiosity, and real world honesty into the room. Therapy with me is collaborative, practical, and deeply human. We move at your nervous system’s pace, not just the clock.
Outside the therapy room, I am also an artist. I grew up in a creative home in a small seaside town in Massachusetts, collecting rocks and crystals and spending afternoons in painting classes. I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts from Boston University in 2010 and my Master of Social Work from Hawai‘i Pacific University in 2013. Along the way, I have lived in places that shaped me deeply, including the beaches of Oahu, the mountains of Colorado, the witchy streets of Salem, and now the coastal woods of Plymouth. Those landscapes still influence how I think about healing and the grounded, calm energy I aim to bring into session.
I am also a mother, which has shaped my practice in quiet but meaningful ways. It has deepened my compassion, softened my perfectionism, and strengthened my respect for the messy realities of being human.
I am a silversmith and the one woman maker behind Magnolia Beau Silver, my small handcrafted jewelry line. In the quieter corners of my week, I make sterling silver jewelry from my home studio. The creative process is slow, intentional, and welcoming of imperfection, which feels a lot like healing to me.
These days, my life is a blend of tending to my practice, making jewelry when inspiration hits, and being present for the life I have built. All of those parts of me inform how I show up as a therapist: grounded, creative, and deeply committed to helping you feel more at home in your own body and your own life.

please Hear me when I say:
You do not need to hold this alone anymore...
Taking this step is something to be proud of. Healing is possible, and I’d be honored to walk alongside you as you move toward a life that feels more grounded and supported.
At the core my approach to therapy is grounded in safety, compassion, and collaboration.
How I work:
Together, we’ll create a supportive space where your whole self is seen and understood. I’ll meet you where you are, bring humor and humanity alongside the hard work, and gently guide you toward greater clarity, confidence, and connection with yourself. Healing is serious work, but it can also include moments of lightness and laughter.
Where I work:
I offer online therapy for adults anywhere in Massachusetts and in-person sessions in my Plymouth, MA office. Many of my clients live around Plymouth, the South Shore, and Cape Cod, but you’re welcome to work with me from anywhere in the state as long as you’re physically in Massachusetts during sessions. My office is located on the Plymouth Waterfront and is convenient to clients coming from Kingston, Duxbury, Carver, and other South Shore communities.
Therapy with me is…
-
Gentle Pacing. No pressure to “jump into the deep end” before you're ready. Therapy with me is paced with your nervous system in mind.
-
I am a therapist who actually talks to you.
Not silent staring. Not “mmhmm” for 50 minutes straight.
Real conversation. Real connection. -
No pressure to have the “right” words
You can say “I’m not sure how to explain this…”
We’ll figure it out together. -
EMDR + body-based work
…but only when you feel grounded and ready.
Safety always comes first. -
Room for humor, silence, and emotions
Healing doesn’t have to feel heavy all the time.
Sometimes we cry. Sometimes we laugh. -
If therapy has ever felt rushed, clinical, or like you were performing —
this might feel different.
