Hi, I’m Kat. A trauma therapist, artist, and fellow human doing the work, too.
I’m a trauma-focused therapist and EMDR provider based in Plymouth, MA, supporting high-functioning, overwhelmed adults on the South Shore and across Massachusetts who are ready to move out of survival mode and into a steadier, more self-trusting life.
I help adults heal from trauma and abuse in the quiet ways it lingers in your body, your relationships, and your sense of who you are. For many of my clients, the pain started long ago: a hard or chaotic childhood, a relationship that chipped away at their self-worth, or a big life change that knocked the ground out from under them. By the time they land in my (virtual or in-person) office, they’re usually exhausted from holding it all together, stuck in old patterns, and deeply ready for something to finally shift.
I bring over a decade of experience walking with adults through complex trauma, abuse recovery, anxiety, grief and loss, and major life transitions. Before starting my private practice in 2018, I worked in child welfare and community mental health—work that showed me both how resilient people are and how much support they truly deserve. My approach is part art, part science: I lean on evidence-based methods like EMDR, but I also bring warmth, curiosity, and real-world honesty. Therapy with me is collaborative, practical, and deeply human; we move at your nervous system’s pace, not the clock’s.
A big part of who I am outside the therapy room is an artist. I grew up in a very creative home in a small seaside town in Massachusetts, collecting rocks and crystals and spending afternoons in painting classes. I went on to earn a Bachelor’s in Fine Art from Boston University in 2010 and a Master’s in Social Work from Hawaii Pacific University in 2013. Along the way, I’ve lived in places that shaped me deeply: the beaches of Oahu, the mountains of Colorado, the witchy streets of Salem, and now the coastal woods of Plymouth. Those landscapes show up in my work, in how I think about healing, and in the calm, grounded energy I try to bring into session.
I’m also a silversmith and the one-woman maker behind a small jewelry line called Magnolia Beau Silver. In the quieter corners of my week, I handcraft sterling silver jewelry from my home studio. The creative process is slow, intentional, and welcoming of imperfection which often mirrors how I think about healing in therapy.
These days, my life is a blend of tending to my private practice and making jewelry when inspiration hits. All of those roles inform the way I show up as a therapist: grounded, creative, and deeply committed to helping you feel more at home in your own life and body.
please Hear me when I say:
You do not need to hold this alone anymore...
Taking this step is something to be proud of. Healing is possible, and I’d be honored to walk alongside you as you move toward a life that feels more grounded and supported.
At the core my approach to therapy is grounded in safety, compassion, and collaboration.
How I work:
Together, we’ll create a supportive space where your whole self is seen and understood. I’ll meet you where you are, bring humor and humanity alongside the hard work, and gently guide you toward greater clarity, confidence, and connection with yourself. Healing is serious work, but it can also include moments of lightness and laughter.
Where I work:
I offer online therapy for adults anywhere in Massachusetts and in-person sessions in my Plymouth, MA office. Many of my clients live around Plymouth, the South Shore, and Cape Cod, but you’re welcome to work with me from anywhere in the state as long as you’re physically in Massachusetts during sessions. My office is located on the Plymouth Waterfront and is convenient to clients coming from Kingston, Duxbury, Carver, and other South Shore communities.
Therapy with me is…
-
Gentle Pacing. No pressure to “jump into the deep end” before you're ready. Therapy with me is paced with your nervous system in mind.
-
I am a therapist who actually talks to you.
Not silent staring. Not “mmhmm” for 50 minutes straight.
Real conversation. Real connection. -
No pressure to have the “right” words
You can say “I’m not sure how to explain this…”
We’ll figure it out together. -
EMDR + body-based work
…but only when you feel grounded and ready.
Safety always comes first. -
Room for humor, silence, and emotions
Healing doesn’t have to feel heavy all the time.
Sometimes we cry. Sometimes we laugh. -
If therapy has ever felt rushed, clinical, or like you were performing —
this might feel different.
